The preservation need to stay healthy and take a
proper care for your skin requires that beach sun
exposure should be approached cautiously and by
sticking to some firm rules.
To start with, you should only expose yourself for a
limited period of time. The exposure time during the
first day should not be longer than ten or fifteen
minutes . If beach tanning is the cause for any
superficial burn, stop sun exposure immediately, to
prevent further deterioration of your skin and to
prevent a further skin damage.
Getting a tan on the beach has drastically decreased
and it has become less popular with some people around
the world, because of the high risk of getting burned
and developing some form of skin condition caused by
the UV action.
However, there are some benefits that one can achieve
only by outdoor exposure to the UV rays that have an
incredible impact on the cellular exchanges and chemical
processes in the body.
Beach tanning, has recently been reported, is now
known to be closely connected to mood enhancement,
since the same ultraviolet lights seems to trigger
the secretion of some naturally occurring brain
substances recognized as endorphins, and they are
the ones to make one feel happy. And as for the sunlight,
there is no secret, that UVB light helps to produce
vitamin D in the body, which slows down or even improve
a bone health.
Tanning on the beach is not for people who are following
treatments for acne, since such medication turns the skin
more sensitive to the sun action. Moreover, keep in mind
the fact, that the lighter the skin the greater the risk
to get burned.
Indoor tanning is considered the most reliable choice
for beach tanning presently, but mention must be made that
people taking blood pressure medication, antibiotics or
other drugs, or those with existing skin health problems,
should avoid exposure to the ultraviolets by all means.
It is important to get informed and find out as much as
you can, about the benefits and dangers of tanning, with
the mention that unless you want to get a chocolate-like
skin, the safest and most natural of solutions, remains
beach tanning.
Mistakes are made in both, beach tanning and indoors
tanning, particularly because of incorrect information
or incorrect use of the tanning devices and booths in
salons. If moderation is the word that governs your
decisions in terms of sun exposure, then sunburn
or any other dermatological problems should remain out
of your life. Enjoy it!
Keep smiling
